Biggest SMT issue we encounter in our production floor is Damaged Component,we have implemented a lot of action items but the reject is not declining.Can anyone suggest any special action taken to resolve this problem at your facility.

Give us more info on your pcb... Perhaps if you use a multi pannel pcb you can dammage components when its time to separate your boards.

Definetly need more infomation. What kind of machine? What type of tool? Where in the process id damage noted, before or after reflow? What type of part? have you tried changing vendor?

SN/PB soldering with gold plated pcb

I wonder if yor customer means wrong "flux"? Your not solderng to gold. Your soldering to Nickle. The gold is disolved and dispersed. Your joint strength comes from the SnNi intermetalic.

Does someone use Ultrasonic washing machine to remove nc or rma flux residu from the pcb??? I have no experience with this device and I plan to use this for a very small production lot Do you recommand this ??? How are your results ??? What kind

What core size are you using with the solder wire? I would recommend that you use a "66". It is very helpful to get the area hot prior to adding the solder.

I beg to differ but the old metcals do handle lead free with no problems - Unless we have a rogue batch of ancient super MX500's.
