Matt, believe it or not, but mechanical stress is cracking these internally and you can't see it with bare eye. Consider de-paneling as a root cause if parts are close to the de-panel V-score edge/router tabs. I can send you more information.

Sometimes might be internal change with personnel. Issue is actually there, but if no one questions it-it is not an issue. With 7mil stencil there is a good chance to have solder balls. So were they registered or were they fixed/cleaned?

In IPC 9.2 it shows missing paint the pic is terrible, is the missing paint the defect or is it damaged down under a protective layer that is the internal element.
