I'm sure this isn't the same situation, but we did have a selective solder machine with crazy dross and solder ball build up. Turns out the operator switched the low pressure nitrogen line used for solder level and the high pressure nitrogen line fo

I recently witnessed a process in which the solder pot operator used Techspray WSOL water soluble masking to cover the areas around a connector that was to be soldered on the solder pot. He did not wait for the WSOL to cure. He soldered immediately.

Out of curiousity... What is the benefit of the selective solder machine that does NOT have a moveable nozzel? I am curious since this can be accomplished using a wave pallet. Thanks

I think OA flux left on the pot would quickly looses its activity and become part of the dross waste stream, and smoke stream for that matter. Also, if your wave is setup properly your selective pallets will scour (push) the top of the lambda wav

yeah we are getting quotes on a new solder pot, we have used that paint we tested a small sample of it with solder and it seems to be ok, we are doing a full solder alloy change in about two months so we will have a chance to inspect the solder pot a

We use Cooksons prepaid "Pot-Rite" program which sends you as many preaddressed envelopes and order sheets as you order. When it comes time to send out a sample you just pop it in the envelope and mail it out. They also have all the molds and ladles

SN100C is designed not to corrode your pot, and can be used on standard solderpots (after a proper clean out), whereas SACX is still corrosive and if the coating is compromised then could cause problems. Get it in writing from the supplier that the

No matter in selective soldering or wave soldering process, higher pot temperature and longer wetting time can increase IMC thickness and joint strength(reliability), but as Daivf said, you need to care if the DIP component and bare PCB was damaged b

hello colleagues, Hoping that everyone is doing well, I am reaching out to you in the hope that your experience can help me. We have a wave solder with sac0307 alloy and the pot has turned a golden color, at first I thought it was common tin oxidat
