Preheat is a option that we use on almost all boards. We have the pillarhouse jade models.

We use a 2mm with our Pillarhouse Jade Mark II. We found that reducing the nitrogen enough that the area around the nozzle stays hot enough not to "freeze".

This has already been done. Companies like Seho Selective Solder machines can provide this service. I imagine it is not cheap. I'd be curious to compare the drop rate of parts per person per hour on a couple of Pillarhouse Jades vs on custom machine.

Is anyone out there having issues with the new improved pumps requiring weekly disassembly? Our nitrogen ppm is at 6 pressure is 85 to 95 psi. We replaced and adjusted the nitrogen supply valves. Thanks

I think machine selection depends upon your application (pitch, volume, changeover from pb to pb free etc...) I have experience with ERSA and Pillarhouse Jades. Both very good in their own right. Pillarhouse are relatively cheap, and quick to chan

We have recently acquired a Pillarhouse Jade machine which has changeover pots from Pb Free to Pb and the bath it small so changeover heatup is fast . Although it's runtime is slow it seems to run the product well.We are also running an Ebso 400 but

We are using Kester 985M in our Pillarhouse Jade. We only run SnPb, but this is a newer formulation of flux that is suitable for both lead and lead free alloys. Call the manufacturer of your selective soldering machine and get their advice. They ty

We also have a pillarhouse jade but opted for Kester 959T. The low solids content allows us to use a very small shot of flux thus resulting in low residue on the boards with great solder joints. Solderability is still good but had better results with

We have many Pillarhouse Jade Mark II's in our facility. Lately design engineers have taken a liking of huge ground planes in boards. Quite honestly with topside heaters some of these boards were impossible to solder. True you can preheat with the no
