Trapped moisture can be a problem, and one standard recommends baking a PCB for a minimum of 4 hours at 93+/- 5.5ºC before conformally coating. [NASA-STD-8739.1, “Workmanship Standard for Staking and Conformal Coating of Printed Wiring Boards and Ele

I agree. The bar coded label you use should not be affected by the solder mask of the board. The label should have sharp contrast between the segments of the code to modulate the returned light and allow the reader to discriminate between light and

We've been using pre-printed labels on our PCB's for years, with 8 - 10 hours a week down time associated with them. Last October we put a CO2 laser marker on one of our lines. In 6 months we've had a total of 30 minutes down time. We use a 2D b

Here's an idea; buy a pcb conveyor and design a simple label applicator to mount to it. Maybe replace the logic with your own or replace the PLC in the conveyor with your own solution. Shouldn't be much more than a few sensors and and a stepper motor

Thanks davef, but having worked in the metal industry for years, I was wondering how someone would actually use a water jet to cut PCBs? I know it can cut them, but all water jets use an abrasive in the water. So, this would seem a rather "dirty" p

Has anyone used Mycronic (MYDATA)MY700 or MY600 Jet printer for solder paste printing? We are looking to buy one. Would love your feedback. Specially how the machine works, what it can do and are there any quality problems after printing with jet pri
