I am trying to set up a YV100ii machine to pick up TQFP's from a manual tray. No matter what i do, it doe snot want to pick up the parts from the tray, but it keeps wanting to try to pick up parts from the place that a feeder would present the part.

I don't know Juki but I know stick feeding SO8 ICs. If you have a lot of them regularly then consider getting a tape and reel machine.

just some odd situations when you can't find ICs on T/R but with the current shortage we got some parts on sticks. We usually avoid sticks like the plague. Aurelian

We are recieving many QFN's in Tubes instead of trays and tape. Does anyone have luck with these in a tube feeder, or vib plate? We cant justify to order a full reel because the cost of the part.

We have the same issues with QFN's on reels being cost prohibitive, so we also have to deal with tubes. We have had some luck with using a modified tube ran down (almost to the pick position) the channel of a belt feeder, assuming the QFN tube/channe
