RB, We have a gold finger problem here at our plant. Our kapton tape came off in the wave process and now we have 8 PCB's that have silver fingers. We are waiting on our new A.P.E. SRS-069 Gold Finger Plater. This mircle machine is going to fix a

Understand that one..but the main issues is..do i really need to use ESD tape or non-ESD tape..since as we all know kapton tape is already expensive..if ESD kapton tape required in SMT line..the cost will be more higher.

Hi All, We are producing PCBA with COB process. We are using kapton tape to protect the COB pads from solder splashes/stains. Questions: 1) Is kapton tape an industry accepted way of protecting gold pads from solder splashes? 2) What are the chance

No matter how good your process is, you will get solder on the gold fingers/lands unless they are protected. We have proven that solder will get on the gold fingers in the reflow oven. How that happens....we arent't 100% sure...there are a lot of the

We sometimes use a peelable mask the the PCB manufacturer (board house) adds as part of their process. It may seem an expensive option but avoids: Raising P/o's for tape/peelable mask as consumables booking & inspection Booking out to the shop floo
