Hi, We have just started running this Koki paste and it's working really well. Funny, the joints are a lot more shiny than I expected. Grant

Hi, There are a number of things you can try. You are already using 1:1 hole to pad ratio, and that's good as you need the size. I would try an electroform stencil as that will have a smooth side of the aperture and help paste release. Don't use c

Hello WaveMaster Larry, I think you are very well knowledgeable in wave machine or process. However, I think the reason why your former company wont listen to you is because you also never listen to your people. I think you overlooked the saying N

Hi, That's what I am thinking, and we might have a dirty stencils and cannot see the problem. We are going to get a magnifier, and check it out. I did not think the stencil could bur, but I didn't want to shoot the guys down when they had an idea on

Hi, I would also be interested in this thread, but our problem has a different twist to it. We have good results from our reflow with Koki no clean paste, however when we pass the boards through the wave solder machine, the flux in that leaves a fog

We are also having the same problem here. I was told earlier that it could be a problem with the solder mask during the raw board manufacturing level but then I noticed that the problem was only surfacing on boards that went through the wave. As far

Hi Grant, I've seen a couple of good fluxes on lead free - WF-7742 from Indium & JS-EU-01 from Koki. I'm sure everyone else has a good one too - just make sure it is one formulated for the elevated temperatures involved. Cheers, Rob

Depends on a number of things - such as type of oven, type of components, if you are washing the boards or not, etc. Assuming nothing special, no clean, I would try the following (in that order): Koki: S3X58-M406L Almit: LFM-48 Indium: 5.1 Cheers,

Hi everybody, please advise in case of soldering problems after the reflow soldering. The problem occurs randomly at different locations on different PCB's (not the complete surface of the board). These places are very difficult for rework. Could you

Hi ! The main problem being faced currently is formation of solder balls - to be precise, these are micro solder beads generally found attached with bodies of SOTs, Chip Caps, Chip Resistors, between pins of SOICs (50 mil) - lying on PCB surface,
