SMT Forum, Does anyone know if the Sanyo laser alignments can be replaced with the Cyberoptics brand? If so is it plug and play or does it require any software or machine configuration changes. Thanks in advance

What is the base cost of an inline pcb etcher? Specs: fiducial alignment, smema interface, 400mm x 400mm marking area. Will be used to mark panel 2d codes, pcb array 2d codes, and human readable. Thanks Gm

Ken, Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I am in Mexico and we make our own PCBs. That is another conversation entirely and another of my fix-it projects but currently we drill the PCBs and align the artwork to the holes visually

Everytime I have seen an offset like that it was dirt on the quad-align lens.....try cleaning it off with alcohol and a lint free cloth. If this does not fix it....you may have dirt inside the quad align itself. I am assuming you have checked to ma

If there is dust (on the glass) off from the center of the lens it will add it to the part when scanning it and place off. I have ran into this twice.....I fixed it once by breaking the lens on the quad align and blowing it out.....another time I hel

oh ya....i forgot....to verify this....turn off all the extents for the parts and just pick them and place them....if they are very close to where they should be then it is the quad align causing the problem....this is how you can verify it. Copy the

I did clean both lenses from the outside and checked all the MOD codes. I even removed the battery to reset everything and re-programmed all the codes but to no avail. I will strip it down and fully clean it to see if that helps. Just strange that
