As long as pressure is set properly (may require re-adjustment when adding / removing modules) then have not seen / heard of issues with damage to bottom side components. This assuming that rubber tips are in place and in good shape. I have a custome

Copper Core MCPCB vs. Aluminum Core MCPCB

Electronics Forum | Wed Jan 10 09:48:13 EST 2018 | mrk

Hi All, Currently we are producing a LED product using an aluminum core MCPCB with surface mount LEDs. In order to achieve better heat dissipation, we are considering transitioning over to a copper core MCPCB. My experience working with copper cor

OSP adhesion

We "bar" solder them too. (It's really pulsed resistance welding). It's slow but reliable. They seem to be designed for this process. By the way, Luxeon just came out with new LEDs that have nearly the same luminous flux, but that can withstand leadf

Epoxy crack causing intermittent failure

Electronics Forum | Thu Feb 22 13:11:51 EST 2001 | keithtbe

Silver epoxy is used to joint the LED beam lead and the trace of the flexi circuit. Due to the LED mounted skew upward or downward unconsistently, the strength of the joint weakened and causing the LED lights up intermittently. I would like to ask fo
