I am going to be using a pressurized dispenser for Chemtronics CM1 peelable mask. I need to find a solvent that will work for flushing the system. I tried Xylene that we have here and it does ok, but not as good as I'd hoped. It works very well fo

Do you buy in the PCB's from a manufacturer? If so, they may well offer such a service for you. We get quite a few different boards that come with either Kapton tape, or liquid masking already applied.

Some questions: Is the peelable/spot masking only being applied to the earthing points on the one side or to both sides? Is the peelable mask you are using specifically designed for coating masking or is it the same as that you use for masking sold

I would suggest trying an acrylic peelable mask. In most cases peelable temporary masks are latex materials. Since you use an acrylic conformal coating it makes sense to use a mask with the same make up to avoid incompatabilities. Link to acrylic mas

I have a product that has earthing/positioning holes, as they are to be used for earthing purposes they need to be free from conformal coating. This pcb is double sided. I have used spot/peelable mask to protect these holes. However when the conforma

I have considered this solution, but syringe application is very slow and it's hard to control thickness. It's good for partial covering or applying peelable solder mask. We need to coat circular board ca. 10cm in diameter. Takes a while even with sp

Hi I am looking for some type of peelable mask or plug to cover the connector during the conformal coating. The problem we have is the moisture get into system and eventually penetrate under the connector creating short circuit to the board. What I r

First of all, do not use kapton tape! It tends to cause a dewetting effect around the tape. A call to Humiseal will explain why. There's not really a blanket answer to your question.... Removing cured liquid mask can often result in a fillet ef

Silicone-based coatings "repel" most foreign,non-compatible materials like peelable solder mask, and rubber or vinyl boots. The result is, uncured material around the vicinity of where the boot was. Trust me. Been there and done that. As a rookie
