Those capacitors look totally fluxed. I can't tell if the last photo is showing a concavity or a blob of stuff. I think it is a blob of flux and contaminants. Does it burn off with a soldering iron?

It looks like metallization was somehow etched out from the capacitors. Does it happen on all capacitors on that PCB or just a single type?

Are you gluing these components by chance? I had an assembly where a glue dot was slightly too big and it pulled to the outside of the components solder joint. This looks eerily similar.

It looks like the plating and metalization were stropped off the component. I would suggest these are counterfeit parts. Are these Pb free parts and process?

it happen on all caps with the same value but only single type.

It happened just after it came out of the reflow oven. And i guess the thing on the last photo is not blob of staff but the remaining part of termination of the cap. because when i try to iron soldering on it, i just cant. solders not sticking. on it

Quality, consistency and labor savings all wrapped up into one nicely packaged piece of electro-mechanical marvel called AOI. Look for the number of templates one can store per component, lighting options, can it do through hole? Look at reporting

Hly, The solder ball in your picture looks just like the countless BGA solder joints that Ive produced over the past 8+ years. We've had a good number of these joints X-rayed, cross-sectioned, and thermally stressed. Some say that the stretched loo
