Hmm our table is steel. We had extra supports made at a machine shop, bought the magnets from the hobby store. we basically just had steel rods cut off at 1" lengths and had a counterbore drilled to glue magnet in Russ

Magnetic Bracelets?

Does anybody know if, or have data to support that, magnetic bracelets are bad to wear in an area that does circuit card assembly?

Magnetic Bracelets?

We don't think the magnets will affect anything except peoples' wallets. We would review the turbocharging effect of the bracelet materials as a potential ESD charge source.

Possibility of a cheaper pick and place machine design?

Hi (I don't know if this forum is the best place to post something like this, but I don't know of other places on the internet, so... sorry if I'm in the wrong place) Might there be an easier way to add components (e.g. computer chips) to a circuit

Magnetized Support Block

Electronics Forum | Wed Mar 27 01:06:12 EST 2002 | ianchan

Hi Guys, We are using two types of support Jigs for our PCB boards, during the paste printing, chip shooter, and IC mounting. The two types of support Jigs are : 1) "self-fabricated" aluminium support Blocks 2) "off shelf purchased" support Pins T

Mechanical stripper for fine magnet wire

Electronics Forum | Thu Sep 04 19:20:39 EDT 2003 | severs

Fine magnet wire responds well to abrasion stripping. Here's one I've used: http://www.carpentermfg.com/magnet.htm Teflon requires a different kind of stripper called a twin blade rotary stripper or a precision die stripper because it's subject to

SOT23 jumping off pads when reflowing

Also most of Tantalum Caps are iron-magnetic material made, for sure is not this case but always wen we met problems like James met, we had always sot-23, light capacitors 0603 as you know some of them have Nikel barriel (also magnectic sensitive) an

Anti Magnetic Environment

Electronics Forum | Fri Aug 24 12:42:05 EDT 2012 | kahrpr

a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. we had a requirement for a specific part. We stored it in a room in a plastic container on a wooden shelf and had to rent a Gauss meter and walk around and take measurements to prove that it was anti magnetic

Anti Magnetic Environment

Electronics Forum | Thu Aug 30 21:49:59 EDT 2012 | davef

Logic Circuits Based on Magnetic Semiconductors One problem with increasingly dense circuits is heat dissipation. A solution was recently unveiled by Northwestern University researchers using an entirely new logic circuit family based on magnetic se
