It would depend on how many boards and parts you need to build. I would prefer an etch cut as it leaves the the part intact and you get the strength of the solder joint. It also reduces the handling of the BGA and associated damage from that

There a number of studies like this published by component fabricators. Many can be found on the net. For instance: http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content_type/DownloadableAssets/Pb-free_Board-level_reliability_study.pdf

FYI: ZCR, British oven maker, was purchased by Quad many moons ago. When Tyco bought Quad, ZCR was not part of the deal. In fact I think production had stopped in the U.K. facility by then. Tyco has no legal obligation to suppoort these ovens.

Try Siemens splice tape. It comes in two different sizes and works very well. I've tried Boyd, but we had to many problems with the tape breaking. If you interested, I can email you part numbers for the splice tape and supplies.

Hi Marco, most likely your axis has two limit switches and possibly a home sensor. Limit switches are NC and in case of bad connection or wire break the axis will not move, no matter how many cards you swap.

You have too many rules. Priority #1 melt the solder. Priority #2 worry about the other stuff. Priority #3 count the fly shit.

That will depend on so many factors: solder type / flux type sphericity of balls in paste stencil type (laser chem etch, electro form etc.) print paramaters I will tell you that it can be done.
