I assume the connector is like one used in PC104 that allows mating of boards together by inserting the pins extending from the connector on one board into the female portion of the connector on a second board. Who ever accepted this job is dopey.

We use a locally made fixture that uses tooling pins and a mating block to place the connector onto/into. We then use a toggle clamp to push the connector onto the board. We had to make no adjustments to stencil for our application. Russ

Hello SMTNet, We had received boards from our CM, some came with a Tin plated finish on the SMT hermaphroditic edge connector, while others came with Gold plated on the same connector. Tyco supplies both version and they apparently mixed up parts.
