Just as an option you might want to look at Assembleon also. They have an adaptive base that allows you to run the GSM feeders on the new MG machine, which is faster than the UIC machine. I do not work for Assembleon just wanted to mention it.

User interface is totally different on those machines. iPulse is a price/performance machine, MG1 was the best, once but is pretty old now.

Oh yeah I saw Trans Tec is offering support for the Yamaha made Assembleon machines. I believe this was the GEM series and the MG series that replaced them so they may have some as well.

OK, so all GEM Machines & MG were built by Yamaha, and imported in to Europe & USA and other places by Philips. After a while Philips developed it's own machine - the FCM. Philips then sold off it's SMT division and it was rebranded Assembleon.

When we were looking for machines we were looking at some of the same brands but ended up going with Assembleon Opal XII. They have since been replaced by another model. We have been happy with them. Have not placed any BGA's but 0402's are not a pro
