Our Electrovert UPK445 needs a new solder pump motor. The Machine is down. I'm taking a huge chance with Specnor. If the motor doesn't come in or if it doesn't work, then I'm dead. They told me I'd have the motor next day. They kept trying to sell me

Everything went smoothly. I had the motor in less than one day. And I saved $690 from Electrovert's $1170 price (slightly different model but it works great!). | Our Electrovert UPK445 needs a new solder pump motor. The Machine is down. I'm taking a

Hello Dave, I hope that electronic slap didnt hurt too much. Robf, I am sorry that you did not agree with my initial response, but the answer is very detailed and most of the support material I have is only in paper format so I need to either snai

Charles, I am using an Air-Vac PCBRM12 to selectively solder a 96 pin thru-hole connector onto an otherwise all SMT board. Cost is $8.6K plus about $300 per flow well (nozzle.) Went from a 6 minute cycle to hand solder the connector to 15 seconds o

About the anlge typically is 5-7 depending on the machine. If solder smt components, the best is to use (swich on) double wave machine - (swich on both) chip and laminar wave. Regards.

Hi, I see that the wave angle of the wave solder machine takes a major part on soldering SMDs if they are assemlbed with glue. To avoid the shadowing effect and bridging what would be the best angel of the wave for Sn/Pb & Pb-free soldering processs

6 deg is std angle. Some machines have option to adjust angle from 5 to 7. Maybe yours does. If you have an Electrovert wave machine you can get the Omega option. This option vibrates the wave to reduce surface tension. It does a nice job on rectangu

With DIP type components, a sub-par fluxing method (foaming a no-clean), and a chip wave where one is not needed are formulas for bridging and insufficient wetting. If you have SMD's on the wave solder side of the board greater than 0603, and no SOT

I am looking for process suggestions. We want to use a pin transfer system to deposit adhesive to hold bottom side SMD's in place. We will place SMD's and through hole power parts on the top side and then run through a wave solder machine. Are ther

| | I'm planning to introduce selective point-to-point soldering for pwb. This is due to various needs: PIHs assy on double IR, for example. I think the most suitable solution is a point-to-point soldering, 'cause we're still having small lot/many ty
