Hello, I am currently in the process of purchasing a plasma chamber for the purpose of activating the surface of flex circuits so that they bond more readily. In addition I need to purchase a gas cylinder for the chamber, specifically one that is a

WE USE 3 chamber OF Mc-DRY(MODEL NAME). THE MACHINE CAN REMOVE HUMIDITY FROM PARTS IN THE GENERAL PERIPHERAL TEMPERATURE (MAY BE 25-30;CENTIGRADE). AND IT'S CONVENIENT FOR MAN TO PUT OR TAKE OUT COMPANENT FROM CHAMBER BECAUSE THERE IS NO HOT AIR AN

Innovative Drying Co., considered this possibility early in our experiments. The rate of chamber pump-down is not a consideration. However, the selection of the vacuum pump is critical. Avoid oil-sealed pumps at all costs. A poorly maintained oil-tra

Dave, can I assume that in the case(s) you're referring to, there was no gas introduced into the evacuation chamber to push any expelled moisture out of the system? In the industry I was involved with (implantable medical devices), we used nitrogen

Minami vacuum reflow is easy to maintain air tightness, and oxygen can be reduced to 50ppm or less by filling N2 gas. And generation of oxide film can be suppressed, and production in low oxygen environment is possible. In addition to the air tightne

You might like to check ou the SSTC at the National Physical labs, in the UK. They have done a lot of research in mixing PB and PB free alloys. Its high Science stuff but intelligable. The upshot seems to be that if you mix PB and PB Free alloys th

Hi, This would be a very exciting idea. Nitrogen is an inert gas, so this is why it's used, however Hydrogen mixed with oxygen in normal air is highly explosive, so it would be one of the worst gasses to use in a reflow oven I would think. Remember

I guess you're adding the gas to keep the fingers clean - sounds likeyou got your threads mixed up on the Forum. Any way I would suggest not doing this. Gas is pretty flammable. I have pix of one our Hollis cleaning machines going up in flames cau

We are looking at several reflow ovens with intent to acquire one for both air and nitrogen reflow capability (i.e. have the capability to reflow in either air or nitrogen environment). Would be interested to know what I should look for in comparing
