Does anyone have experience placing a Pinrex 2mm 2x20 SMT header. The dimensions of the part are as follows: length 40mm (1.58"), width 6mm (.236"), height 5.35mm (.211"), pitch 2mm (.079"). If so, what type of centering are you using? Any advice

Because most placement machine mfgs' feeders vary in width sizes its best to get the reference from them. Like how many 8mm slots does their 16mm consume, and so forth. Std. Sizes I've seen are: 8mm, 12mm, 16mm, 24mm, 32mm, 44mm, 56mm, 72mm, 88mm, 10

It seems because the soldering area is not enough, so the wetting force is small to hold the switch, remember >0.08g/mm2 for each part as in IPC standard. So, anyway, you need increase the soldering area to reduce weight/area number to below 0.08g

Hi Steve We dont double reflow this part. We wouldnt consider it without a fixture or some other support. You know that sound, the almost involuntary sound that patrons in a restaurant make when a waiter drops a glass or a tray? Its kind of an

Assembleon machines are extrememly flexible and adaptable. Their service / tech support is outstanding. I consider them a leader in our industry. My shop is low/mid volume high mix. I have kits of 1 to 10,000. 0201 to 56mm^2.

I tried a PCB prototype service previously called Wellpcb and was happy with the cost and lead time. From their website online PCB calculator, manufacturing 10pieces of 100 × 60mm 2 − layer PCB will cost you around $27USD.
