Dear experience members, Now we are using permelex squeegee blade and we do cleaing it after printing 24 hours. Actually, it took very long time to clean. we need to take out one by one screw and use bemcot paper/ alcohol to clean solder remaining on

SPI and after market squeegees

Has anyone looked at SPI results across different squeegee blade manufacturers ? We are running Momentums and using the MPM pro-blades. Ive been considering looking at permalex blades again to see if I can maybe squeek out some better yields.

Squeegee Blade Selection

Using MPM Momentums, I like choosing blades that allow about an inch of overhang on each side of the board. I feel it allows me to dial the squeegee pressure a bit better.

We have been using TA permalex blades for year, they work great! They will even work with you on custom designed blades to fit custom blade holders. If you're having trouble with solder paste sticking to the blades contact the vendor for some solut

Squeegee cleaning

Happy Holidays to all! Has anyone seen or heard of an automatic cleaner for squeegee blades and holders? I searched the archives and found nothing! I simply don't want to tie up the stencil cleaners with squeegees! thanks, Kris

Screen Printing using metal blades

Squeegee angles

"45* is a common angle of attack. Squeegee blades are commonly manufactured at 60*. The combination of the angle of attack and the blade angle results in an actual printing angle between the two due to down pressure and flex of the blade." Ahhhh, so

black fiducials

We get our fids laser etched and never have fid read problems. They are black. (see attached) All of our printers are Momentums. Half etch and fill is old school. I used to take 2 part epoxy and mix black printer toner into it and squeegee the mi

Metal squeegees

Holders and blades can be spendy. "JNJ" is good place to get aftermarket stuff (I have no affiliation with them). I've also found laser cut metal blades work fairly good and are cheap. Your stencil supplier might be able to cut them for you if you

Squeegee angles

So, if 45 is theoretically optimal for aperture fill, but 60 is better for defining fine pitch bricks, is 52.5 the best compromise for an all around design, or does it not work that way? I see blades with either one angle or the other but with th
