I've been looking for a vision system which can check our fully mounted boards containing a mix of smt and thru hole. The concepts on all the machines are virtually the same, they got about 12-16 cameras, some pcb fixing and the rest is software.

Chris- I was actually being generous in my pricing assessment. They can actually be had for as low as $25K with a little searching. Of course if someone bought a used one from Speedline then $50K or north of that would be the norm.

Fuji GP 641 is really a bad choice. Bulky, heavy, accuracy is bad. At the price that you purchased, why don't you get the Dek infinity, Horizon or even a MPM UP 2000 HiE. You paid sky high price of this printer. The market value no more than $2k. At

You don't want dedicated tooling. Make sure your machine comes with front and rear dams and plenty of side chucks and magnetic support pins. The best option for these machines is the side snugger option but it doesn't sound like your machine has that
