If you haven't resolved this yet, I think you're going to want to go to either the part or the package (I'm not sure which one off hand), and make sure that the hydra heads/tools are selected for placement. You'll also want the vision set to the lin

Do you have an optical centering phase active for centering? You can have hydra tools setup in the package but if there is no optical centering it wont use the hydra.

Dude - check the centering jaws as well. If they're off a bit it'll do this as well. Is it just mechanically centered parts, or optically centered parts also?

On machines such as MyDatas you have the ability to mechanically center parts rather than optically centering. If your machine is capable of doing mechanical centering that would eliminate the need for the vision analysis. -Joe

Usually the reason it will fail a part like that when you are using mechanical centering is because the part is usually picked so off center because of the body shape. So when the centering jaws close to push the part to center they give up and fail

The only reason you would need to run this calibration is if the camera was replaced or the centering camera got whacked which is highly unlikely. If your placements are off, put an offset in the parameter file.

We have tpsys 1.5.18 on our TP9-UFP. We are attempting to run "Optical Centering Calibration". Following the instructions in the manual, we have centered the cross hairs on the camera frame, loaded a "base" board then the L-19-447 calibration boar
