I agree, I'd try placing them with the midas or z-fi head depending what you have. Try using the mechanical centering in the zero angle with a low strength to move it straight. You'll probably have better luck finding a tool that will work on the hea

Z-force sensor is a tool travel indicator. It has nothing to do with Z travel. Does the Midas head move at all, during initiation? It sounds to me like a Z motor/encoder problem. Is the Midas head ribbon cable plugged in?

We bought from Mydata and recently had a new Midas head put in by Mydata and I've been on the phone with tech support. This has been a intermittent issue that's been hard to pin down.
