Hi, MYDATA's are ok for lower volume, and they are very flexible. If you only have 1 or 2 trays of components and are on a tight budget, then you can even place the trays on the Y wagon behind the PCB so you can get away without the tray wagon. Al

OK thanks - I wasnt aware that I HAD a small x motor! You mentioned being able to check in the service menu - would you care to point me in the right direction. What amazes me - or rather, worries me, is that repeated mentions to the Mydata service

We find sticking tape down to the tray wagon or to a base plate is Ok but not very repeatable - when you peel the empty off and stiock a new on e down you have to relocate it every time so some way of holding the strip in a repeatable way is better.

No offence, but the Universal platform is hardly in the same league in terms of user friendlyness & ease of working on than a Mydata. However it does murder the Mydata in terms of accuracy, repeatability, longevity etc. & the Lightning head leaves

Hi, Your right, and the MYDATA's are much easer to setup, and a lot of it's got to do with them knowing which way a part is oriented, and it makes it a lot easer to know by looking at each part if it's rotated correctly. The Fujis don't do that, and

Hi, The MYDATA is a very flexible machine, however it's slow as a chip shooter, and really needs Myspeed to work to get as much speed as possible. It's also wasteful to get chip placement speed because you need to repeat feeders of the same componen
