Hi, Hans, I would have suggested swapping the MOT card out to see if that fixes the issue (or, changing the MOT card with another one to isolate the card), but, it sounds like you've already done that. I'm surprised that MyData would point you towa

For the past few weeks we have experienced an intermitent midas theta error.During normal production the machine times out while just after picking up a component waiting for the theta to center it.Sometimes it fails to leave a tool. Reinitianing the

You should be able to see the counts in the service screen for the motors while testing them...that's usually the easiest way to see if they're functioning...at least the encoders. In some of the older systems, the drive motors were all the same, an

When you swapped the MOT card, did the proble move to another axis? I'm guessing no, but, wanted to clarify. If the problem did not move, you either have an x-motor problem, x-motor counter problem, or x-transducer problem as noted. Or, a cable pr

Since you changed the motor and the encoder, we can rule them out. Did you check the ribbon cables for wear? Is it failing on the same 3 components? Is it failing around the same area on the board? Does it fail when you cycle a tool, multiple times?

If you are not getting repeatable transducer readings then some possiblities are : 1. Transducer is bad 2. Motor is bad 3. Y power booster Also, I can't remember if the Y motor has a flex coupling on it or not. If it does, check that out. Also, w

Chris, I have worked with all kinds of Mydata's TP9,TP11,MY series machine for years. I have ran them, programmed them, and had just about every nut, bolt, motor, and circuit board out of them at one time or another.I have also written specialized mai
