TP9 machines are good, but old machines. We ran a TP9 for many years. As the machine got older it required more and more maintenance and had more frequent small issues similar to what you are seeing. We only saw 1 of your 4 issues specifically whi

We recently scrapped our TP9-2U because of an issue similar to this. The X-axis would overshoot the pick and place positions. This particular machine(2U)only has 1 X motor. The UFP's and the MY machines have a small fine positioning motor that is on

Hello, I'm looking for a lower end used machine that can place a 55x44mm sized bga component, placement speed is n't concern. At the moment I have only found the quad ivc to be capable although I'm worried about the placement accuracy and repeatabi

Interesting suggestions so far - keep 'em coming as I do a search on every one of them. Speaking of, it seems that if the humongous size of the older MyData machines isn't an obstacle then they seem to be a good choice for us... (to recap: we need t

Has anyone experianced Core Dump errors with their MYDATA TP9? My machine (2/96) has 26 million placements and my operators have recorded 253 core dumps in 1996, 238 in 1997, and 18 in January of 1998. We run one job on the machine, period. Our prev

I was asking if it was a TP9 2U...... If you have a UFP machine then you are in luck. It is most likely the small X-motor. You can test it in the service program. Does the X-axis bounce when you are trimming magazines and stepping through placement

The only reason you would need to run this calibration is if the camera was replaced or the centering camera got whacked which is highly unlikely. If your placements are off, put an offset in the parameter file.

Thanks for the info. And what about accuracy of the placement. Are both machines able to handle the same parts or are there any differences like for small components or BGA?
