This may sound silly but... I'm not sure where the glass scale is for the width axis. There is a Heidenhain rod 1020 rotary encoder connected to the motor that moves the width control, but I can't see any linear encoder / scale. I've given everything

Hi Jerry, I thought the same so tried running other programs that are known to work on the IP-3 but still no joy. I shall try Alan's suggestion with cleaning the linear scale and see what happens. Thanks!

The machine has linear servo motors. It has to be VERY level. You may want to check that this is the case. If this doesnt work.....make sure the encoder scales are clean. Good Luck

I had 4 of these machines. They are good machines but I have seen this error often. Is the problem only on one head L or R? If so swap electronics L to R and see if it follows. You can even swap the Y motors. The items that could cause this prob
