we will use melf nozzle , we want to know how to setting the part data (or other item in f4g ), so the machine (cp642) can identify it from the nomal 1.3nozzle . thanks

Stefan The Z hight required for a MELF will depend on the design of nozzle used on your machine. If it has a "V" tip you should measure the hight of the component on a nozzle then subtract the nozzle hight.

Hi Check SMT Research, they have nozzles for cp3, 4,6,7 melf custom, Special etc..(805) 587-7851 Just buy the disk, the body is the same and change the nozzle size on (proper) mcs16 or 30

A lot of MELF components have solder ends that stand slightly proud of the main body where your vacuum would lift them, so vacuum leaks are most likely the culprit. Upping the Vacuum to the nozzle may help, but better thing would be to modify the noz

we would like to monitor ASM siplace feeder, cycle time, nozzle.event using SCADA. Anybody able to provide memory address allocation for above data value to read by SCADA

Before I waste a lot of time and parts..... Will the Fuji CP3 place a melf diode without a special nozzle? If so, what size would you reccomend for best accuracy?

Thanks, I'll try the 1mm first. So there IS a MELF nozzle? Iwould try the IP2 but they came on a big reel and I have no feeders for that.

Yeah, there's a MELF nozzle. Check with Fuji or one of the many after-market guys, mostly Asian suppliers. Big reel, no big deal, unravel it and reload in 7" reels.

For me it was the 1.0mm nozzle, if we're talking mini-MELF here. Also, slowing the turret speed helps. Had mine at 30%. Results vary if placing on paste vs. glue. Paste is better. Still, the std. 1.0mm nozzle is where near as good as with the MELF no

Specify the nozzle size as 1.4 in both the nozzle allocation table and the PD, the nozzles will still pass center test as the size variation is still within tolerence.
