We don't have Heller, but Vitronics uses copper anti-seize.

Hello I am new to SMT line maintenance. I was wondering what a good option is for a lubricant that we can use in our Heller reflow oven. Especially the witdh adjusting lead screw. The manual recommends Krytox but does not state a specific one. Thanks

Is there are reason for going for larger (or smaller) boards when designing panels for use with a chain conveyor oven? My panels range from 0.6mm 2 layer (for touch with hatched ground) to 1.6mm 4 layer. I'm planning to go for smaller panels to reduc

I generally do not design an array larger than 10" x 12". Other than just thermal mass, the one issue to watch with extra length is if the array is so large that it spans multiple heat zones at the same time. We have panels that are up to 48" l

10x6 to 12x8 is ideal for most equipment. Too small panel is not good too for handling by humans and machines. 1.6mm you can use as and depanel on the router. 0.6mm you might need to run on SMT carrier, if you see warping.

I worked for Electrovert for 20 years and up till today the 1421 is still the oil of choice. The chain doesn't care who's oven it's running in but it does require regular lubrication.

Can the oven do 400C? If so do them in the oven. Jerry

Oberon (oberonlube.com) makes a high temperature chain lube (oil). When our Heller oven was installed, we were told to use this as the replacement when our original volume of chain oil ran out. I do not know the price for it.

The manual says to bake the edge chains at 400C to clean them. Is anybody doing this ? I need to take my edge chains to a heat treat facility to clean them ? I don't want to spray oven cleaner on them as they appear to be plated with nickel or so

Has anyone located an alternate source for the Fuchs Stabylan oil that Vitronics calls for ? $65 a pint seems a little stiff.
