Humidity card should show actual humidity in the package accurately. If it shows below 10%, actual humidity should be less than 10%. There is nothing to account for from previous cards.

I have a question about Humidity Indicator Cards (HIC) in sealed PCB packages. If a PCB package is temporarily opened where the HIC card indicates 20% humidity exposure and then the PCB package is resealed with a new HIC card. How is the 20% moisture

I'm looking for input from anyone who has experience assembling the LGA package on PCBs. Design, stencil opening, or other requirements are welcoming

The humidity card must reflect the precise level of humidity present in the shipping container. If the reading is less than 10%, then the relative humidity is less than 10%.

We all agree that you have a PCB issue. It would be for the best if you use a lab to investigate a few of these PCBs. It would be interesting to investigate the plating specs and contamination levels. For a start you should insist on proper packaging

Yes, solderbility. I recall one case of a vendor we met at a past HK electronic fair. Pricing was ok, we selected them and ordered a batch of boards. After a few months of leaving the PCBs in a sealed package (vacuum), we attempted to use the PCBs. W

Hola; I have some PCBs with more than 1 year in its original package at warehouse, I'm supposed to "validate" these PCBs to be in "good shape" so they can be used, but honestly I have no idea what can I do to check them besides a visual inspection. W

There is a big difference between SMD and SMT. One term denotes a device and the other a process.SMD, or surface mount devices, are electronic resistors that sit on a printed circuit board (PCB).SMT, or surface mount technology, is a method of placin

Hi, It is very important to follow IPC JEDEC 33 specification for storage and handing of all MSDs. In many instances defects caused by excess moisture in packages is not immediately evident (pcbs may pass final test) but when pcb has been in the fiel

Hi: I'm looking for input from anyone who has experience assembling the MLP package on PCBs. We are experiencing solder opens after assembly, and I'm curious to see how others are processing these critters. The part we are using is a Semtech SH3000
