I am not sure but I thought the black fiducial is used for X-out board/panel.

On our Fuji NXT and AIM machines I never program local fids...we place down to 16 mil fine pitch and BGA, uBGA, multirow QFNs with no placement issues. Most boards are panelized in an array and we have corner fids added to the rails. Regards, Mi

We've done many fine pitch parts using only global board fids with good results. However, if you're working with flex or flex/rigid designs, I would never use global or panel fids for fome pitch placement. We always request addition of local fids u

Is it good practice to use a PCB mechanical drill hole as local fiducial? Would it increase my placement accuracy? Or should I stick to my panel fiducials? We're using a panel with 4 boards and we're trying to reach a 50 microns accuracy.

you can copy board at the panelize option and put the value of width of the first board at y of the second board. use panel fiducial at the mark coordinates

In the teach menu of Central controller and under Teach Board Fiducials there should be 6 options. Turn on Global Fiducial Correction by putting a Y in the box. Make sure all others including "Fiducial Data from Autoprogram" have an N in the box. Use

Richard, Are you trying to put different pcb's on the panel, or just step and repeating the same pcb across the panel? Either way, the method is pretty similar. For step and repeat, you need to create a panel/layout, using the panel fiducials. Th

Can anyone recommend a good software package which can be used to create panel criteria from Gerber/Cad data. Needs to do more than step & repeat. Need to be able to define panel size, add panel fiducials, define breakaways and hole sizes, ability

If your boards are not totally rectangular part of the board can stick out past the stopper. If the fiducial is there then you can't use it. Also make sure you are not using panel fiducial co-ordinates and then expanding those out with panelization

I don't use the machines you have; I'm running a Siemens line. Regarding fiducials, this data should be provided by the design engineers through some kind of mechanical drawings. I usually get this with the CAD data. I don't know if there is a standa
