Does anybody have problem with 8 mm paper component reels?. when feeder indexs component, the tape is not separated form the components completely. soemtimes it takes up the paper from the tape.( I believe it is because of tape has sticky material ).

Hi All, Good day, Is there a Paper type packaging for LED 1608. Our available feeder in our production is for paper type but we are using emboss type reel packaging... thanks and regards.. Jeff

If this is a problem you see with all your paper tape, you may want to talk with your machine vendor. Sometimes a sharper blade in the feeder, which peels off the cover tape, helps to keep the carrier tape together.

Does anyone else encounter problems using feeders to handle caps that are reeled up with paper tape. We are having alot of problems with vendors that are now using the thicker type (like cardboard) to use to reel up caps. Our feeders either run too

5v or 12v feeders.....and are you sure the parts fit through the feeders and are not getting jammed. On some of the old feeders you had to remove the springs and other parts to make the tall caps work.... chow

Thanks for the spec Greg, For us it is the stiffness.

I agree the stiffness is definately the problem.

Is anyone aware of the spec for tape if any?

Yes I would have to agree Kemet is the worse. I believe our feeders are just not strong enough to handle the thickness of the tape. It seems to need alot of force to move and to roll the tape through.

I wouldn't say we've escaped either - Fuji blade wear is heavily up at the moment.
