Dear All, I have a problem with the BTU-paragon -150 reflow oven,with the heaters getting off with Overtemperature Alaram. But the actual temperature on board not exceeding the 255 peak temp. Pls. advice & thx in advance for your sincere postings. R

One of the air temp sensors by the blower is bad. Unplug them and check each to find the defective one.

Check your "over temperature module" for both top and bottom zones when the alarm is active, there is a bank of LED's on the bottom of this module. Monitor it to find out if the same zone keeps activating the alarm, if so check your TC for that zone.

If the blower is pulling high amps it's possible that it's still running but the oven is recognizing the high current. Check the label on the blower for the amp rating and check the current w/ an amp probe.

The bearings wear out on those blowers like a cheap pair of underwear. When you replace the bearings be prepared to see significant wear on the motor shaft also. We used to keep a backup ready to go. This will cause you to amp up higher than normal

These ovens maintain good profiling as long as you stay on top of maintenance. I had 4 150's and 1 125. The biggest headache is keep the plenums cleaned (very messy). Also the blower motors have been replaced a few times on them as well. If I were yo
