With Essemtec software you can specify to turn on vacuum once the nozzle is down at the part. The default method is to turn on the vacuum while the nozzle is up, but starting to move down. For light/tiny parts this can have the effect of making them

Larry, Carl's right about vision 254 and 255 but I believe CP4's can be set up to check for a part on the nozzle,(parts check sensor)like any other CP. This could be activated to make sure parts are being placed. Then again CP4's might not ha

Kuru- If you have a bad tactile sensor....find out what the part number is and you can order it from MPM. If you don't have the part number, MPM won't help you unless you pay a price to register the machine. You're other solution is to post an ad on

What may be happening is an early trigger of your vacuum sensors during production due to a clogged tip or vacuum line in the head. What happens during production is that the Y axis gets into position, and then the vacuum sensor input is monitored on

Blow holes on radial parts solder joints

Thanks for the tips. I'll have to check with the designers if they can accomodate the height if I was to use parts with stand-off. The bigger holes was already suggested, but they don't want to change them until a new revision on the product comes o

What machine? Normally part height in the parts description would dictate placement pressure. In general, paper provides a better centered pick-up but may interfere with the pick-up(paper fibers)
