We issue extra parts like this: 8/2 caps and resis. - 40 over 8/4 caps and resis. - 20 over 8/4 IC's - 7 over 12mm - 7 over larger feeders + stick + matrix = the correct # req'd. These #'s were based on our first SMT lines (used equip.) and we made

I like AJ's answer. Count-On-Tools makes a neat holder for presenting short strips of taped SMT components to a placement head. http://www.smtnet.com/company/index.cfm?fuseaction=view_company&company_id=51639 Let us add to this by saying, we don't

It's been awhile, but, some other things you might look at: - Check the fiducials on the toolbox. If they're getting obscured/damaged, all kinds of weird things can happen. I had problems initializing tools one time because of this, and I could actu

I've been struggling trying to get our TP9 machine to place 8-dfn package parts. One of our primary assembly contracts uses a SOIC8 but the pad design accommodates an alternate 8-DFN part and sometimes we have to go to our alternate part due to lead

I am not sure why you would have an issue placing a DFN with your TP-9. Is the machine throwing it away or mis-placing ? Throwing the part away could have several reasons and so could mis-placement.

Create a package, set the mechanical centering to the dimensions of the 8-DFN that you're trying to place, test the centering. Tweak the dimension that's failing. Shouldn't be too much of a problem. An 8-DFN package is nothing more than a rectangu

Thanks for the replies. I ended up finding the issue this morning while digging through the operators manaual trying to back track any issues in the package. We ended up finding that somewhere along the way either, however unlikely, the body size had

Just want to know if it is ok to leave parts in the bag with an open end. I just hate for the operators to start leaving parts in the mcdry with just the tray. I could see them damaging them, label incorrectly or mixing them up. Just want to know
