Does anyone have experience with the smoke release properties of PCB laminates? I need to pass UL 2043 and I know FR4 does not pass. I also need to be ROHS and otherwise UL listed/recognized material. Thanks.

Davef, We have BGA (removed from PCBA). We have Cleaned up the pads. Instead of reballing can we directly mount on the Prime PCB like QFN. Thanks Martin

Xrays go through aluminum quite well. I've xrayed BGAs with heat sinks that were well over an inch tall and they only made faint shadows. What material is the bottom of the PCB? And how are you going to bond to it?
