| Who knows something about the reliability of plasti PEMS and its enhancemant by application of conformal coating (Parylene, metal, SiO2, SiNxOx, etc.) ? My personal experience using PEM for military avionics applications has been very positive. H

Has anybody had to wave solder components after PEM hardware has been installed to the wave side of the board? Design constraints on the product force us to do this, and we need to determine a method to mask the PEM's. Anybody try hi-temp boots / C

Oh yeah, I've seen this before! Generally, if the hole sizes are correct (including plating), and the PEMs are within spec, we've found that this is most commonly caused by insufficient support of the PCB during insertion. If you can eliminate supp

Have you checked out the ReelFast fasteners from PEM? They probably have something that would work.

Board House, One last question. Could the above changes make the board more ridid? My concern is we insert Pem nuts via a press. Nothing has changed in this process except the board house. Now when ever we insert these Pem nuts the board cracks.
