I formatted with the FORMAT / s command or moved the system with the SYS command - system files are visible. Partition created and active. I ordered the PCMCIA adapter (PCI) only today - USB adapters do not support all cards.

In our machinery, the pcmcia cards are simply Compact Flash cards in an adapter - not sure if this is always the case though

If you've formatted the pcmcia / CF card then it'll be blank and have no DOS or anything as it acts as the hard drive for the machine. A DOS diskette formatted with /S will boot from the floppy drive, then allowing software installation with the orig
