Hi Greg, I have the same problem over here in Belgium. I have been looking to rent an X-ray but for the moment I only found Glenbrook as a possible source. So I would be very interested if you find any alternative. Furthermore I am also interested i

i am planning on implementing a new bga assembly and would like to have an x-ray system on hand during this process. I know that Glenbrook rents x-ray systems but the price is more per month than i would cost me to send out each PCB individually. D

We have been looking into some sort of higher level inspection system as well. But we have been fairly well convinced that X-Ray is far better than AOI. X-Ray is not only good for BGA's, it is also good for any solder related problems. AOI can onl

My company is also researching AOI systems and X-ray inspection equipment. Almost all of our assemblies are mixed technology, and contain considerable hand load. Is anyone out there using AOI post solderwave?

Genny, Would you use the X-Ray in addition to AOI? Or would it be in place of? If so, would it pick out wrong value components? Polarity? I never thought of it as a replacement. Seems like you have investigated into this. Do you mind sharing your fin

Disclaimer, I'm a VJ Electronic Rep. The VJ Electronix XQuik II is an x-ray parts counter. You can load a PCBA into the system and capture an x-ray image. The system has zoom functionality. But, you will not get the type of measurement and inspection

Hi everyone, Did you come across a hybrid system of X-Ray inspection system having X-ray SMD component counter capabilities? I haven't seen myself, but that such a solution can be really cost-effective. Thanks

We've recently purchased a Nicolet Imaging System. There are several brands on the market and some alternatives. From our research we found that you basically get what you pay for. I would plan on spending from 30k to 60k for a good quality system
