Hello, I have now an old MPM with severely scratched Platens that need to be changed. From Speedline told me that this product is discontinued and the Platens are no longer offered. Do you guys know any other source, where I can buy them?

Scratches do not necessarily mean bad! Usually the forcer motor fails before a platen. The motors become weak or don't evenly distribute the supplied air, which causes them to tilt and drive into the platens. Mechanical misalignment of the VY forcer

Sounds like air pressure is set O.K. The next thing to check is that the platen surface that the x and y axis ride on is perfectly clean. After that, you should knock the camera off the platen and make sure that all of the small air nozzles are blo

Check to make sure the platen and the camera are meeting the sensors that tell the machine they are "parked". Find these sensors and flag them. Look for indication they are working in the input screen. Also, make sure the sensor flags can go into

I found the problem... the vx cable trunking was the wrong radius, so when the axis was moving at slower speeds to read pre stop position, the axis was not reading the platen correctly due to extra downward force.. Ive now replaced the trunking and

thanks for the great reply. Now you make me think that we should change both the motors and the platens. That looks like a lot of money for a 10year old machine. It looks like it has some issues with the wiper as well. do you think 20K for parts and

We've got a problem with our AP25.. I just finished repairing and calibrating this printer. We needed to replace the camera. After the cal. was done, the print accuracy was superb. However, it seems now, the consistency will not maintain itself. T

Sorry I didn't catch your message sooner! 20k is way to much. The odds of you having 3 bad platens and 3 bad forcer motors would be very unlikely, unless the machine was sitting outside or something. If it is a 10 year old AP then I assume it must
