Has anyone experienced electrical shorting between adjacent leads of a ceramic hermatic sealed IC? If so, can you share root cause and corrective action? The shorting appears to be in the glass frit seal itself but the failure mechanism is unknown. A

Make sure that whoever is pretinning leads are not using a water soluble flux. If they are, make sure parts are being cleaned immediately upon cooling

We are facing low quality due to soldering opens with coilcraft inductors 0402CS-2N7XGLW. The termination used is(suffix L =RoHS compliant silver-palladium-platinum-glass frit. Did anyone had this problem in the past? Can we do better using T = RoH

Looks like a screen printed circuit using a platinum or palladium silver paste. This would account for the grainy appearance. I 've seen this on a white ceramic substrate but not on aluminum. Any components are attached using a silver conductive epox
