I understand what he means. But has he confirmed that an unusual situation is what is really occurring, or is what happens at every other company happening there? It is very common to have part droppage. Look at all the threads on the subject here.

I've seen problems where the component was slightly thicker than the tape and popped out of the pocket upon transport. Is the component still in the pocket after mispick? Do you have access to a high speed camera or could rent one for a day?

I'm having problems feeding these to the pick and place. As the tape peels off the pocket the part sticks to the tape rather than remaining in the pocket. Machine is QUAD QSV. We've tried all generations of feeders we have available. Any advice is

I require component engineering to spec in multi vendor parts as long as the following exists 1.Mechanical +/- 15% 2. Same orientation in pocket 3. Same pocket dimensions I have to beat the engineering a few times per year but I think they have the

For volume we used machined pocket durastone pallets, machined to the thickness of the flex to allow flat printing, with pockets machined for components placed on side 1. We held them down with 3M spray mount. For low volumes we used flat durastone

I've had components move in the pocket and cause mis-picks. Generally, the part moves, but settles in the pocket after a moment. So I slowed down the pick up speed. It gave the part in the feeder a chance to settle before picking.

Is there a possibility to pocket rout on CAM350. I can currently create a rout outline of a shape, but I need the inside of the shape to be routed too. Is this possible within the software or not?

I like to find out more about your feeder manufacturer. Known problems: If the cover tape peel back is located in the pick up window, the tape may lift the component out of the pocket and when the component falls back it could be inverted. The co

CAM350 is a software primarily used for PCB (Printed Circuit Board) fabrication and assembly processes. While CAM350 provides various features for PCB design and manufacturing, it does not directly support pocket routing or internal routing within sh

Thanks for the comments everyone. I did not think of checking the nozzles material, I will check this out. GS, What is PBM, is this some sort of ironiser. Also to clarify, we believe the that the pocket size for the component is too big allowing th
