Hi Mike, How do we measure the O2 ppm in N2 environment. I don't understand why the customer keep insisting me to use N2 instead of Air. I don't see the need for it as I done have any soldering issue. Can you share with me why N2 is needed at the fi

Another value add of N2 is when you are running a gold over nickel process it is recommended that you reach a peak of 220c instead of 215 when running in air. When you add N2 you can maintain that 215 number with the same results. If you look at your

Hello Yngwie, When we look at the technical benefits of using N2, you'll find that your customer is trying to get a better product. Now as we discuss just a few of the reasons to use N2, when O2 is present in the heating atmosphere it carries oxides

Hello Doug, thank you for the additional commentary, it has reminded me of another reflow recommendation that I'd like to make in general for readers. It's not specific to O2/N2 in ovens but in the method for creating and managing profiles for numero

It depends your product application and requirement. If high level, 100ppm required, or even 2000ppm is also ok. There should have sensor detecting O2 ppm inside reflow.

Hi Please anybody can give me the typical PPM level data of surface mount output ie after reflow. We have Yamaha pick and place machine. Like 500PPM, 1000PPM. Thanks.

Curious... are you running any N2 in your reflow? If so what ppm level? I have worked with some reflow users that low ppm levels (
