Most likely it is a faulty cable in the e-chain . You can test it in diagnostic: lower the back squeege and manually move back and forth for its entire travel the print carriage while monitoring the sensor output of the squeege. You will see at some

My first problem is that when the unit homes, the print carriage seems to be traveling too far back. After the carriage reaches its mechanical limit, it continues to try and move back, eventually throwing up a print carriage error. Any ideas?

You'll need the specific Mydata part. It has some specific dots and square printed on it. It should be in a box with other calibration parts, stuff which we do at least every 6 months. I attached an internet picture of the box that contains the diff
