Printing with adhesives is no big deal so don't let the sales types try to mystify the process and convince you that they have the only stencils/adhesives/knowledge that can possibly get you through this "trying time" - at a price. Start with 0.010"

| Could someone give recommendation on the stencil opening for printing epoxy on HAL FR4 PCB for 0805 and 0603 size chips capacitors and resisitors. | My regular stencil manufacturer recommend the following: | Thickness: 8 mils | 0805 opening: Oblong

Simple differences. Both processes require a very similar machine platform, controlled motion, vision fiducial recognition and alignment of a substrate (PCB or hybrid ceramic) to the "image", the image being either a stencil (hence stencil printing)

Here's what is on that post referred to, not sure what you need more than ... "* Stencil material: metal or plastic, no difference in print, metal is easier to clean, no static problem, available * Stencil thickness: Chips 0.006", SOIC 0.010" [print

For the past year now we have been printing adhesive with no real problems. Our printing ranges from 0603's to SOIC using a variation of aperture sizes and metal thickness foils. The crucial parameters are : aperture sizes : These obviously depend o

The stencil thickness should be 5.5 mils. The squeeze speed around 20mm/s,print gap 0.15mm,print separation 0.3mm/s.

Check the print gap and check the clamp edges, sometimes the clamps is damaged causing a distance between the PCB and the screen. Good luck

Alistair, your paste deposit is controlled by a few things: Stencil thickness Squeegee pressure Squeegee speed Print gap in 99 out of 100 applications for paste printing you would have a print gap of 0 i.e. on contact printing where the PCB is in fu

In regards to SMT adhesive application by stencil: Can anyone make any recommendations for: SMT Adhesive Material itself? Squeegee Blade Material? Stencil Material? Characteristics/Features of your Stencil? E.g., thickness, aperture ratios, etc... P
