osp finish

As with noclean flux, OSP will fill your probes with crunchy [maybe gummy] stuff. Consider: * Increasing frequency of probe maintenance * Talking to your probe supplier about alternate probes that self-clean better

Temperature Probes for Reflow Profiling

There are a lot of older threads on this topic. Any new alternatives to using temperature probes for characterizing reflow profiles? The mfg just DOUBLED the price on the probes to $989 each! I prefer using the probes for surface temp and the majorit

Choices ... You got choices

Electronics Forum | Wed Feb 13 14:01:37 EST 2013 | davef

Things that come mind are: * Not sure why you want to do this, since probing solder gives a longer probe life than probing copper. * I've never tried it, but I see no reason why you couldn't probe Kapt0n or blue painters tape. * Fabs [or you] can pri
