I had similar problems with some Chinese 0805 capacitors. Some parts simply won't get out of the paper tape - like they sticked to the bottom paper tape... It happened on two reels, the rest was OK, so I suppose that was some "glitch" on their side..

We have had expierience to convert our wave solder machine EPK1(1995g)with cast iron solder pot for lead free SN100.It runs about year and half now without problem.

dyoungquist, I don't think you understasnd the process. TH parts are the problem, not SMT. How do you proceed with your TH parts during last several years? Hand soldering? Emil

Yes we are. They are considered the Cadillacs of spot solder - so they better work. But yes, we have never had a repeatability problem in 5 years.

Have seen this problem on other types of oven and it was caused by failed solid state relays that energise the heaters.

Did you try explaining the problem to your machine manufacturer for direct assistance? Perhaps your machine brochure would indicate a 24hrs helpline service, or any contact no.

I am using Humiseal 1B31 conformal coating and xylene mix on a PVA coating machine. Bubbles are appearing between the pins of LCCs mainly and bubbling is worse when put through the IR oven. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips to elliminate this
