We have tried using pookie to form an air tight seal on top of the connectors without success. We have tried filling the connector with dielectric grease with some success. Havent found any info on 1-2577 in gel form. Has anyone found this product

Try using Chip Quik to reduce the heat required for component removal. Along with your bottom pre-heater, use a temperature controlled hot air system to help heat up top side for component installation. http://www.pcb-repair.com/products.htm

Hege, Yes. Good info. We have other products that run lead free process with known non-RoHS compliant components. All of these are using LF process compliant fabs however so this is the first time we have been in this position. Thanks.
