jdomont, No-cleans are more difficult to clean than RMAs. Even though no-cleans have a lower solids content than RMAs, reflow and soldering profiles are normally more severe than those used for RMA. It is interesting to note that our most of our

Did you check to see if the manufacturer's recommended reflow profile varied significantly for the new flux?

We have been getting solder balls on some of our SMT boards that are scattered across the board. We are using AIMS RMA291 in a cartridge. The profile we run matches what is called out on the tech data sheet for the solder with only the soak time mayb

Cleaning RMA fluxes simply requires selecting a washing chemistry (either Solvent, Semi-aqueous or Aqueous) and an appropriate cleaning sytem. Your lot size would be easily handled with a batch system. visit http://www.aat-corp.com/Technical/Def

The variance of useability of any of the pastes with a difference of 5% in your overall environment will probably not even be measurable in the difference of the paste be it RMA, Water Soluble, or No Clean. What is the printer you are using and is i

I have the situation where we may need to use a variety of reflow temperatures. It seems that the design engineers want us to try a variety of "unspecified" pastes on the products. For example, the first PCB would be assembled using a higher temperat
