Validating Oven Thermal Profiles

Electronics Forum | Thu Aug 14 18:04:36 EDT 2008 | smt_guy

I have made couple of investigations with our oven. I set-up 5 product profiles and run a thermal profile measurement and record them. Then I set-up one more product profile and rename that as Validation Profile then measured the thermal profile. A

Profiling on rail vs mesh conveyors

Electronics Forum | Mon Dec 14 09:22:04 EST 2009 | jammm

Hi All Does anybody have done the profiling board life time experiment? What is the proper life time of FR4 profiling board? How can we know when the profile board or thermocouple should be change? How to use dummy board instead of using gold/real

You need a KIC profiler whitch is able to find optimal profiles for your boards. The KIC works very well with the Heller ovens. With the KIC is also possible to find one good profile for different boards. Get in contact with KIC +1-858-673-6050

THERMAL PROFILING

Electronics Forum | Thu Apr 12 15:16:35 EDT 2001 | Rex Breunsbach

Profiles design is primarily determined by oven geometry, paste specifications and component thermal limitations. This means that no one "standard" profile exists for all production. A free profile planning utility can be quickly downloaded from

reflow profile

Electronics Forum | Thu Aug 24 08:59:38 EDT 2000 | Eugene Smelik

Dr. Lee, For Pb-free solders, will the reflow profile be similar to that of Sn/Pb, with an flux activation plateau before going to peak reflow, or will the profile be more linear in nature? Are there advantages/disadvantages to either profile for P
